Kingdom hearts 2 pcsx2 cheats pnach6/23/2023 ![]() I found the 8-digit CRC for the Kingdom Hearts ISO file I have, and added the comment line " Comment=CRC=D231ED24" below the Game Title line, but the cheat file still wouldn't load on game launch. pnach, so it doesn't seem to be the case for the Playstation 2 core.įollowing the advice of an older post here, I tried to use RetroArch logging to find the CRC of Kingdom Hearts, but no matter logging level I tried, neither the console, nor the log file showed any entries, let alone one with the game CRC.įurther research revealed that I could find the CRC of an ISO file using the unzipping utility, 7-Zip, with the context menu option of CRC SHA -> CRC32. Searching online I found that for the stand alone Playstation 2 emulator, cheat files need to have the CRC for the game as the file name, but the God of War 2 PNACH file loaded just fine with the filename "God of War 2 (NATSC-U). I tried renaming the cheat file to " Kingdom Hearts (USA).pnach", but it still wouldn't load. ![]() I've got cheats activated in the Options menu for the core, but the PNACH file isn't loading when I launch the game. The ISO file I have for Kingdom Hearts is called " Kingdom Hearts (USA).iso", but the only PNACH file for it I could find was called " Kingdom Hearts (NTSC-U).pnach". You can even change codes on the fly by editing the PNACH file and refreshing the game, (something like making a savestate and instantly loading that state will refresh the cheats.I know about turning individual cheats on and off in the file, and the PNACH file for God of War 2 actually worked fine for me, but Kingdom Hearts (the original) is being a major brat for me. Once you have the file, it's basically just a matter of going in and deselecting the codes you don't want to use with a text editor, (notepad is fine,) then putting the file in the right place and enabling cheats in PCSX2. ![]() Yours will be different, since it's a different game, (I didn't have my copy of KH2 handy, so I just booted the last game in PCSX2's history.) Give me the CRC (which will tell me which version of the game you're playing,) and I just might be able to get you a PNACH file to use. The CRC is also listed at the top of the console (Notice where mine says "Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (NTSC-U) " at the very top of the text page. When PCSX2 loads the game, the console page should have something like "SLUS- XXXXX" and "CRC=0x XXXXXXXX buried inside of all of that startup text, (where the X's are replaced by letters and numbers.) Check my attached screenshot - Notice how the console's blue text says "Game CRC = 0圎8FCF8EC" in the middle of the fourth line? That's the CRC for the game I booted up. Which version of the game are you playing? US? UK? JPN? I ask, because each version has a different game identifier that the PNACH file needs. PNACH files are super easy to use once you learn how - Very similar to GameShark or Action Replay codes. PCSX2 PNACH Codes - Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix - NTSC J - F266B00B PNACH Code Contents - These Cheats Are Compatible For The NTSC J or Japanese Version Infinite Health Gauge, Infinite MP In Battle, Infinite Munny, Have All Synthesis Items, Have All Sora's Key Blades, Have All Donald's Staves, Have All Goofy's Shields, Have Key Items. ![]() ![]() I would urge you to go here and look for a file that uses your disc version and try it out Well seeing as kingdom hearts 2 is a ps2 game that can be played on pcsx2.you would be better off with a pnach file instead. ![]()
